Ever seen a fish swimming by means of water droplets within the air? Immediately, I discovered Panasonic has been cleverly repurposing an outside air-con system to supply results like that.
Panasonic calls it “Silky High-quality Mist,” and the corporate primarily sells it as a option to beat the warmth. The corporate claims its nozzles use a mixture of pressurized water and compressed air to spray mist that’s so advantageous (six to 10 microns), it doesn’t really feel moist to the contact. Panasonic says the system has been adopted by “practice stations and public services nationwide” in Japan since its 2019 debut.
However like Disney and many years of different projection mapping technologists, Panasonic rapidly realized it may use the fog for artwork installations, too, which it has been testing out since 2018. And extra not too long ago, it’s been bringing a single hidden mist dispenser and projector to a handful of know-how expos to indicate how wonderful it may look as a chunk of digital signage.
One word: Panasonic’s system doesn’t appear to be it’s precisely moveable — the one sprayer system it apparently sells in North America is three toes huge, three toes tall, weighs practically 420 kilos, and consumes 2.4 kilowatts of energy all by itself.

And right here’s a video from Panasonic about the way it works:
