Alyssa Naeher, the one ladies’s goalkeeper with shutouts in a World Cup and Olympic ultimate, introduced her retirement from worldwide soccer on Monday after two ultimate United States group matches.
The 36-year-old keeper is with the U.S. squad coaching in London for matches on Saturday towards England and within the Netherlands on Dec. 3.
Naeher was on two World Cup champion squads, in reserve to Hope Solo on the 2015 U.S. squad and enjoying each minute of the U.S. 2019 World Cup title run, and backstopped the U.S. ladies to gold at this 12 months’s Paris Olympics.
