The variety of North Korean troops stationed inside Russia may develop to 100,000, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Tuesday.
Kyiv and its Western allies say North Korea has equipped Russia with weaponry and troops to bolster its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“Now, Putin has introduced 11,000 North Korean troops to Ukraine’s borders. This contingent might develop to 100,000,” Zelenskiy stated in a digital tackle to the European Parliament.
South Korea’s spy company stated final week that North Korean troops had already engaged in fight operations in opposition to Ukrainian forces.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a treaty into legislation this month on strategic partnership with North Korea, which features a mutual protection provision. (Reuters)
