President Yoon Suk Yeol and US President Joe Biden held a farewell summit in Peru on Friday as they regarded again on their partnership and reaffirmed efforts for enhancing the bilateral alliance, Yoon’s workplace mentioned.
The assembly adopted a trilateral summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Financial Cooperation (APEC) summit in Lima, Principal Deputy Nationwide Safety Adviser Kim Tae-hyo informed reporters.
Throughout the 10-minute assembly, Yoon thanked Biden for strengthening the South Korea-U.S. alliance and contributing to trilateral cooperation with Japan, Kim mentioned.
“Many of the diplomatic and safety achievements that I’m happy with through the first half of my time period had been completed along with President Biden,” Yoon was quoted as saying.
Biden responded that he’s happy with main achievements they made collectively, Kim mentioned.
Biden promised to assist Yoon and the bilateral relations below the brand new U.S. management, a senior presidential official informed reporters.
