3、Add the onion, celery, cabbage, and green bell pepper. Simmer over medium heat until the vegetables soften. Once boiling, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, stir well, and serve.
2. Yang Mi’s Radish Soup
Yang Mi, the renowned actress, loves this light yet flavorful radish soup. It’s a perfect blend of sweet radish, savory eggs, and a hint of pepper. Plus, it boosts metabolism!
Ingredients:
- 300g white radish
- 1 egg
- 1/6 tsp salt
- 1/5 tsp white pepper
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- 500ml water
Instructions:
1、Peel and julienne 300g of white radish, then set aside.
2、Heat a soup pot with a thin layer of oil. Crack in 1 egg and fry over low heat until golden on both sides. Add the radish strips and stir-fry evenly.
3、Pour in 500ml of boiling water and simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add 1/6 teaspoon of salt and 1/5 teaspoon of white pepper. Stir well, then it’s ready to serve.
4、Before serving, sprinkle with chopped green onions and mix well.
3. Guan Xiaotong’s Spicy Soup

Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 green onion (tied into a knot)
- 2-3 slices of ginger
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 10g black fungus (soaked)
- 10g dried lily flowers (soaked)
- 20g carrot (julienned)
- 20g yam (julienned)
- 40g enoki mushrooms
- 30g kelp strips
- 50g squid (sliced)
- 2 green onions (chopped)
- 2 slices of ginger (minced)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Spicy Sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2/3 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chopped chili peppers
Instructions:
1、Cook one chicken breast with one scallion knot and 2-3 slices of ginger, adding 1 tablespoon of cooking wine. Shred the cooked chicken breast and set aside. Reserve the chicken broth after cooking.
*Some chicken breasts may produce scum while cooking; remember to skim off the scum before reserving the broth.
2、Soak 10g of black fungus and 10g of daylily until softened. Slice the black fungus into strips, and cut the daylily in half after removing the roots. Shred 20g of carrot and 20g of yam. Cut 40g of enoki mushrooms into sections, 30g of kelp strips into segments, and 50g of squid into shreds. Finely chop 2 scallions into green onion pieces and mince 2 slices of ginger.
3、Spicy sauce: Mix 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 2/3 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of black vinegar, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of pepper powder, 1/4 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of chopped chili peppers.
4、Heat the pan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of corn oil, and sauté the minced ginger and chopped scallions until fragrant. Then, stir-fry the shredded carrots and kelp until aromatic.
*You can use any common household oil here, such as rapeseed oil or peanut oil.
5、Add the reserved chicken broth and bring it to a boil. Then, add the daylily, black fungus, and enoki mushrooms in sequence, stirring well to combine.
6、Pour in the spicy sauce and let it simmer. Add the shredded yam, shredded chicken, and shredded squid, cooking for 3 minutes. Finally, drizzle in the beaten egg (I used 1 egg here). Transfer to a bowl and garnish with cilantro.
