Chengdu to Markam: A Journey Begins
Your journey starts in Chengdu, then goes through Wenchuan, where you can reflect on the 2008 earthquake at the memorial sites. Proceed to Markam, where you can listen to monks discuss local life.
Serda: Where Faith Meets the Sky
Leaving Markam, you’ll encounter Guanyinqiao Town, with its stunning temple. But Seda is where the real magic happens. The town is covered in rows of crimson-colored houses, and the serene Larung Gar Buddhist Academy, known as the Seda Institute, allows you to soak in the peaceful ambiance. 
Lakes, Castles and Ancient Printing
From Seda, you will move towards Kasa Lake, a picture-perfect location, and the historic Gesar King City. Also, you’ll see the beautiful Yulongla Tso (also known as Xinluhai). You’ll then continue through Kangba Wendu to Dege.
Dege: A Center of Tibetan Culture
Known as one of the “Three Great Cultural Centers of Tibet,” Dege provides a deep dive into Tibetan culture and craftsmanship. The Dege Sutra Printing House holds over 220,000 ancient woodblock printing plates, a treasure of Chinese culture. Leaving Riwoche behind, you’ll travel towards Dingqing, where you’ll find Wara Monastery, as well as the Three-Colored Lakes, known for their varied hues, and the Xianggelala Glacier.
Sacred Mountains and Vast Grasslands
Travel to Baingoin next, where you will find the hidden gem of Sapu Mountain, with its blue and white glaciers. The sunset here is spectacular. As you make your way to Nagqu, you’ll journey through Baqên County, where you’ll see the Dordoka Skull Wall.
Nagqu: Where Sky Meets the Earth
The Nagqu Grassland is vast and boundless, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and sacred lakes. This area looks like it came right out of a dream.
Sacred Gate and Celestial Lake
From Nagqu, your journey will continue to Namtso Lake, also known as the “Heavenly Lake”, and you’ll arrive at the magnificent Holy Elephant Gate or Zaxi Peninsula. The Tibetan prayer flags here symbolize the deepest faith.
Lhasa: The Journey’s End
