iPhone 17 Leaked: Jaw-Dropping Designs, 5G Revolution & Apple’s Own Chips!

As time passes, rumors about the iPhone 17 series are increasing. The main question remains: will Apple change the design? Recent leaks suggest exciting updates.

Models and Design Leaks for iPhone 17

CAD renders of the iPhone 17 series have leaked online. The new iPhone series will likely include four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air.

For the iPhone 17 standard version, the design will stay similar to the iPhone 16. However, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely get new looks.

The iPhone 17 Air will feature a unique rear camera module. The camera lenses and flash will be placed on either side of the module. The iPhone 17 Pro models will also have a similar camera design, but with a larger module.

Display and Screen Upgrades for iPhone 17

Apple is upgrading the iPhone 17 series displays. All models will use LTPO panels. LTPO displays support a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The iPhone 17 standard version will finally get the high refresh rate fans have been waiting for.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to include a new “super-lens” design. This will reduce the size of the Dynamic Island. The question is: will the standard iPhone 17 feature a 120Hz refresh rate, or will it be limited to 90Hz?

Camera Upgrades for iPhone 17 Series

All iPhone 17 models will come with a 24MP front-facing camera. For the iPhone 17 Pro models, Apple is adding a 48MP triple-camera system. This system will include a periscope lens, improving zoom capabilities.

Apple’s Custom 5G Chip and Wi-Fi Innovations

A major update is the Apple-designed 5G chip, the C1 modem. The iPhone 17 Air will be the first to feature this chip. Other models in the series will continue to use Qualcomm’s 5G modems. Apple is already testing the next-generation chips: C2 and C3.

Besides the 5G modem, Apple is working on its own Wi-Fi chip. It will replace Broadcom’s chips in future Apple products. This chip is known as “Proxima” internally. It will debut in 2025, first appearing in iPhones, Apple TV, and HomePod mini.

Conclusion: What to Expect from the iPhone 17 Series

The iPhone 17 series will bring significant upgrades in design, display, camera, and connectivity. Apple’s custom 5G and Wi-Fi chips will help set new standards in the mobile industry. The new iPhone models are expected to launch later this year, with the potential to redefine the smartphone experience.
