It’s been a while since I’ve shared some weight-loss recipes for this summer, have you been following along? If not, no worries. If laziness has got the better of you, then… I’ll share even simpler recipes to defeat you!
Today, I’m revealing three soups, all of which are celebrity favorites.
“Witch Soup,” Faye Wong’s Choice.
Just the name and its origin scream “badass.” The recipe is simple to the extreme, like brewing a magical potion. Sauté the vegetables until fragrant and soft, creating a soup that’s tangy, sweet, and refreshing.
Daikon Soup, Yang Mi’s Choice.
With just eggs and daikon, you can create a creamy soup. It looks light but has a rich flavor. The pepper adds aroma, the egg adds freshness, and the daikon’s sweetness is a delightful surprise when paired with seemingly unrelated ingredients. Be warned, though, your metabolism will be on fire after this one.
Hot and Sour Soup, Guan Xiaotong’s Choice.
This soup not only opens up your appetite but also fills you up. The sweet and sour chicken breast with mushrooms fully satisfies the cravings of meat lovers during this special phase, saving your life.
Eat well, get slim!
Faye Wong’s Weight-Loss Witch Soup:
1、Wash and cut 2-3 stalks of celery (I used 50g), dice 2 tomatoes after peeling, cut 1 green pepper into chunks, 1/4 onion into chunks, 1/4 head of cabbage into large pieces, and mince 2 cloves of garlic.
2、Heat a pot over medium heat, add half a spoon of oil, sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the diced tomatoes and stir-fry until soft. Add about 800ml of water and simmer for about 5 minutes.
3、Add the onion, celery, cabbage, and green pepper, simmer over medium heat until the vegetables are soft. After boiling, add 1/4 spoon of salt and mix well.
Yang Mi’s Scale-Tipping Daikon Soup:
1、Peel and julienne 300g of daikon, set aside.
2、Coat the bottom of a pot with a thin layer of oil, crack in 1 egg, and fry over low heat until both sides are golden. Add the daikon julienne and stir-fry evenly.
3、Pour in 500ml of boiling water, simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, then add 1/6 spoon of salt and 1/5 spoon of white pepper, stir well, and it’s ready to serve.
4、Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Guan Xiaotong’s Hot and Sour Soup:
1、Boil 1 chicken breast with 1 green onion knot and 2-3 slices of ginger, 1 spoon of cooking wine, until cooked. Shred the chicken and reserve the chicken broth. Remember to skim off any foam if it appears.
2、Soak 10g of black fungus and 10g of dried lily buds until rehydrated, shred the black fungus, halve the lily buds, julienne 20g of carrot, 20g of yam, cut 40g of enoki mushrooms into segments, 30g of seaweed into pieces, and 50g of squid into strips. Chop 2 green onions and 2 slices of ginger.
3、Hot and Sour Sauce: Mix 2 spoons of light soy sauce, 2/3 spoon of dark soy sauce, 1 spoon of vinegar, 1 spoon of oyster sauce, 1 spoon of pepper, 1/4 spoon of salt, and 1 spoon of chopped chili peppers.
4、Heat a pot over medium heat, add 1 spoon of corn oil, sauté the ginger and green onions until fragrant, then add the carrot and seaweed strips to stir-fry.
5、Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil, add the lily buds, black fungus, and enoki mushrooms, stirring well.
6、Add the hot and sour sauce, then the yam, shredded chicken, and squid, and cook for 3 minutes. Finally, drizzle in the beaten egg (I used 1 egg), serve in bowls, and garnish with cilantro. Cilantro can be added according to taste.
A bowl of soup a day keeps the weight away, and it’s healthy too!
