Introduction to Pingba Cherry Blossom Garden
Did you know that the world’s largest cherry blossom garden is located in China? Nestled in Pingba, Guizhou, this breathtaking garden has gained global recognition for its beauty. Recommended by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Geographic, and even featured by the BBC, this cherry blossom wonderland has been named one of the most beautiful on Earth.
Despite being frequently mistaken for Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms, the Pingba Cherry Blossom Garden spans an impressive 24,000 acres, home to over 700,000 cherry trees. It’s the largest cherry blossom garden in the world, and the view in spring is nothing short of magical.

When to Visit Pingba for Cherry Blossoms
The cherry blossoms in Pingba bloom for a short period each year, typically lasting only 20 days. In 2025, the blossoms are expected to peak between March 8th and April 10th, following a warm winter. For the best experience, visit in mid-to-late March to witness the peak of the cherry blossom bloom.

As early as March, the first spring breezes awaken the landscape. The cherry blossoms begin to bloom, turning the hillsides into seas of pink. The early white cherry blossoms bloom first and last about ten days. Then, the pink late-blooming variety extends the season for another two weeks.

A Stroll Through the Cherry Blossom Paradise
Walking along the cherry blossom pathways, you’ll be surrounded by blue skies and gentle breezes. Delicate pink petals float all around. It’s like stepping into a Miyazaki animated film! No special photography skills needed—just wear something fresh and bright. Every angle will look picture-perfect for your social media.

As the spring wind blows, petals gently fall like a cherry blossom shower, filling the air with a sense of tranquility. Whether the petals flutter down or swirl in the breeze, every frame seems to capture the essence of youthful beauty.
Beyond the Blossoms: A Vibrant Landscape
But Pingba offers more than just pink cherry blossoms. The region also features fields of bright yellow canola flowers, adding a beautiful contrast to the soft pink. As you wander through the trails, you may stumble upon Red Maple Lake, where the bright blue water reflects the pink blossoms above. The scene is a beautiful blend of cool and warm tones, with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains, tea gardens, and blooming flowers.
Especially at sunset, the orange glow of the evening sun bathes the cherry blossoms in a warm light, creating another serene and peaceful scene.

The Pingba Flower Nursery and Tea Gardens
The Pingba Cherry Blossom Garden is part of a larger agricultural hub, as it also serves as the largest flower nursery in Guizhou. The farm also cultivates over 2,000 acres of tea leaves and 3,000 acres of peach trees, making it a delightful place for visitors to enjoy a full sensory experience. Imagine sitting beneath the trees, sipping freshly brewed tea, surrounded by the sweet fragrance of blossoms—this is springtime at its best.
