Nintendo stated Thursday it has filed a lawsuit accusing the developer of a online game jokingly dubbed “Pokemon with weapons” of patent infringement.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Firm are suing Pocketpair, the Japan-based studio behind the “Palworld” sport that turned a viral hit when its prototype was launched in January.
Palworld — which bought greater than 5 million copies in simply three days — options weapon-wielding participant avatars and monsters that look much like the creatures of Nintendo’s wildly widespread “Pokemon” franchise.
